REMIX Redux
REMIX the MIX home page and your original design could be your ticket to MIX07. Create one of the top three designs and you will receive paid registration to the conference, three nights at the Venetian hotel and $1000 towards your travel expenses. In addition, we will be providing Zunes to ten designs awarded honorable mentions by our panel of judges. Thirteen winners, three trips to MIX07 and ten Zunes for doing what you do best!
REMIX in Detail
As many of you might remember from the REMIX MIX06 contest, the MIX site is written in Cascading Style Sheets. This makes it easy for designers to change the entire look and feel of the site with a stroke of the mouse. We’d like you to do just that: change the look and feel of the MIX07 home page. This is the simple challenge of REMIX MIX07; download the MIX07 homepage CSS and then REMIX it. If your entry is judged as one of the top three, you win a trip to MIX07. Rate as one of ten honorable mentions and win a Zune. Use your imagination, creativity and skill to create your unique take on the MIX07 home page. Check out ZenGarden for an idea of what we’re talking about as they were our inspiration. Now that you are in the know, download the MIX CSS files to get started… and send your masterpiece to us for a chance to win.
The entries will be judged on three factors: quality of the design, creativity in remixing the home page and thoughtful user experience, with bonus points awarded for using the new Microsoft Expression Web design tool.
Designs will be accepted until midnight (Pacific Time), April 10,2007. We will announce the winning entries on April 13th.
